Action Society called to assist in battle against ex-partner who disfigured young woman’s face in deliberate car crash

Action Society has been mandated to help with the investigation in the case of Samantha Erasmas. The 33-year-old found herself on the receiving end of her ex-partner’s rage when he deliberately crashed the car they were travelling in following an altercation. The incident has left her face badly disfigured, and her entire life and future in uncertainty. Her now ex-partner threatened to crash the car they were travelling in, and that’s exactly what he did.

According to Kaylynn Palm, head of Action Society’s Action Centre in the Western Cape, Samantha was in the passenger seat when the collision happened.

“The crash left Samantha with horrific head and eye injuries. She had to undergo six hours of plastic surgery at the Groote Schuur hospital in an attempt to reconstruct her face.” said Palm.

Before the incident, Samantha’s ex-partner sent her a video of him wielding a firearm, and loudly proclaimed his plans to harm her with it. He also has a history of violence and anger-management issues, and assaulted her on multiple occasions during their rocky relationship.

In the meantime, Samantha’s partner is plotting to make it appear as though she caused the accident. Shortly after the incident, he opened a case of negligent driving against her at the Ocean View police station.
