Our South African Society needs healthy families and families need fathers
In South Africa, only about a third of children live with their biological fathers, a fact that contributes significantly to the societal challenges the country faces.
Action Society emphasises the crucial role of fathers in building healthy families, which in turn are fundamental to a healthy society. Despite this, the reality of fatherhood in South Africa is grim, marked by high rates of child abuse and neglect.
Our #BrokenFamilies campaign aims to raise awareness of these issues, explore their causes, and promote interventions that encourage responsible and involved fatherhood to heal and strengthen South African families and society at large.
