Action Society, established in 2019, is a dedicated civil rights group working hard to make South Africa’s justice system more accountable to victims of violent crime. As a non-profit organisation, we focus on pushing for changes in policy and ensuring the government protects all of its citizens, especially the most vulnerable.
At the heart of our efforts is the Action Centre, where we amplify the voices of those affected by violence against women and children.
Our Action Centre team is passionate about making a real difference. They tirelessly oversee court cases, offer comforting support to victims and their families, and help with investigations to bring about justice. They also keep in close touch with all the parties involved in the justice system, making sure families are kept in the loop with regular updates.
At Action Society, we’re all about caring, support, and making sure we do the best we can with the resources we have to protect and empower victims of violent crime.
Action Society acts in the interest of the public through active advocacy for policy change. We work within the community to fight for a reformed justice system, holding government accountable for failing to protect South African citizens.
At Action Society, we often see delays in the justice system. What do you think? Have you experienced this too?
