It has been almost three years since Siphokazi Booi’s horrific murder at the hand of her then partner, Sithobele ‘Rasta’ Qeba. Action Society is hoping for a positive result as the case moves to judgement.

Aaliyah Chingy; trial
On 12 February 2023, Aaliyah’s body was found tossed in a shallow grave, covered in multiple stab wounds. Her trial takes place on the same day she would celebrated her birthday. We are hopeful that her family can finally get the closure they need and deserve.

Janelle Laattoe and two other women abused by the same man; plea and trial
The man who assaulted Janelle Laatooe and two other women will be appearing at the Blue Downs Regional court for plea and trial. This serial abuser has no place in our communities, and Action Society wants to see him behind bars where he can no longer victimise more women.
