#BlueLightMafia cops’ suspension: Criminals sent on a paid holiday – Action Society

The South African Police Service just confirmed that all eight members of the VIP protection unit who were filmed attacking, and pointing various weapons at three victims on a Johannesburg highway in the viral #BlueLightMafia video have been suspended with benefits.

According to Ian Cameron, director of community safety at Action Society, the fact that these officers have not been arrested yet, is an atrocity. “These VIP cops are receiving VIP treatment. They are criminals. They should be arrested and prosecuted for attempted murder, assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm, intimidation, pointing a firearm and damage to property.”
