Join Action Society’s campaign to STOP your tax money being wasted on the #BlueLightMafia eight

My tax money won’t pay for the #BlueLightMafia to get away.

Their criminality, their liability.

Taxpayers will not foot the bill for SAPS members that are in custody for a violent crime – whether it is for their legal costs or for their salaries. We demand that their suspensions must at least be without pay and ideally that their employment with the SAPS are terminated as soon as possible. We also demand that the National Commissioner of Police, Lt Gen Sehlahle Fannie Masemola, in writing confirm that the SAPS will not consider any applications from the eight accused for assistance with their legal fees for this case.

Action Society wrote to the National Commissioner of Police, Lt Gen Sehlahle Fannie Masemola, more than a week ago, requesting confirmation about the #BlueLightMafia eight’s current employment status with the South African Police Service (SAPS) and clarity on who is going to foot the bill for their defence. Read our letter here.

We now call on you to turn up the temperature. Complete your details to send your letter of demand to Masemola. Read the letter you will send here
