What should have been a 16th birthday party in Heidelberg turned into the tragic death of 18-year-old Dylan Bothma. Forced to use narcotics and alcohol and then beaten by the adult host of the party, Dylan fled. He was then chased down and thrown into oncoming traffic, where he sustained severe injuries.
His parents were frantically looking for him and found him in the hospital just hours before he passed away on 25 June 2023.
In the past year, Dylan’s family started their own investigation into his murder case as feedback and progress from the police were lacking. They are frustrated as it seems that the accused’s ties to this police station play an integral role in the case not moving forward.
