Investigation into Rev. Liezel de Jager’s murder continues; Action Society refuses for case to die with killer’s death

Action Society was at the Amanzimtoti Magistrates court on Friday morning where our fight for justice for Rev. Liezel de Jager continues unabated. We are pleased that progress is being made in the investigation despite the difficult circumstances. The case was remanded to 10 June for further investigation which includes obtaining Werner de Jager’s death certificate.

Werner died whilst in custody on 15 April, almost two and a half years since her murder. Despite this roadblock in the investigation, Action Society will continue the fight for justice.

“Action Society will not allow for Liezel’s case to die with Werner’s death. We will continue to fight for her bereaved family until they get the answers they have been fighting for since 2021,” said Juanita du Preez.
