“Members of the media are invited to attend the court proceedings at the Mitchells Plain Magistrates court on Wednesday when 34-year-old Cleo Diko’s killer is set to plea in her murder case.
“Without the media, the stories of the victims and families we represent in court everyday would never be told. Cleo’s story is a brutal and tragic one. We hope that our hard work pays off and that her killer is behind bars for life so that her family can have some form of closure,” said Kaylynn Palm, Head of Action Society’s Action Centre in the Western Cape.
Cleo’s decomposed body was found underneath the accused’s bed. Her body was covered with cement and tiles, and a rope was tied around her neck like a noose. The accused was arrested at a railway line close to where he was living.
