Media invitation: Action Society hopeful for a judgement in Cleo Diko murder case

We were very disappointed last week when the case of Cleo Diko was postponed once again just as we were expecting a judgement. We hope that a judgement in this case will bring closure to Cleo’s family when we return to court on Wednesday, 27 March.

Cleo Diko went missing in October 2022. Her decomposed body was found three months later on 27 January 2023 in Mandalay in Cape Town. There was a rope around her neck and her body was hidden under a bed, covered with cement and tiles. Her identity had to be confirmed through DNA testing. Her alleged killer Sandile Jegwa was arrested near a railway where he was living.

Date: 27 March 2024
Time: 08:00
Place: Mitchells Plain Regional court (First Avenue, Mitchells Plain, Cape Town)
