Action Society invites members of the media to attend the murder trial of Aaliyah Chingy at
the Bellville Regional Court on Monday 28 October, 2024. We hope to see progress made in the trial and a clear path toward justice as well as answers for her family and friends who are desperately seeking closure.
Chingy’s body was found tossed in a shallow grave on 12 February 2023, covered in stab wounds when she was just 20-years-old. The murder trial against her killer started on 24 July 2024 (the day on which she should have celebrated her 21st birthday) and witnesses have been instructed to be present in court on Monday.
