Media update: Case against serial abuser postponed once again

Action Society is bitterly disappointed with the case against a serial abuser being postponed once again, this time because the magistrate indicated that he was retiring. That matter has been postponed to 17 October 2024.

It is unacceptable that the justice system does not have contingency systems in place to effectively deal with these types of situations.

Justice delayed is justice denied and these postponements are becoming ridiculous. The abuse started as early as 2019, and we first went to court in September last year. It is now well past the time that these three women are given the justice they deserve.

Is there justice in SA?

At Action Society, we often see delays in the justice system. What do you think? Have you experienced this too?
