Die Wes-Kaap wil met alle mag polisiëringsmagte by die nasionale regering oorneem. Die voorsitter van die DA se federale raad, Helen Zille, is aan stuur van ‘n formasie van politieke partye en organisasies uit die burgerlike samelewing wat hulle vir so ‘n afwenteling van mag bewyer. Daar is natuurlik min aptyt daarvoor in die kabinet van pres. Cyril Ramaphosa wat in ‘n parlementêre antwoord gesê het só ‘n afwenteling van polisiemagte na provinsies word nie deur die grondwet toegelaat nie. Action Society is deel van hierdie groep en die organisasie se direkteur Ian Cameron sluit by ons aan om te praat oor hoe hulle dink dit reggekry kan word, veral teen die agtergrond van grumisdade in die provinsie, soos die onlangse moord op ‘n vierjarige meisie van die Paarl.
