Guesthouse murder case and a case of mass sexual assault and rape of 19 Churchgoers go to trial

Thursday, 17 October 2024, will mark the beginning of trial for two prominent cases that Action Society is overseeing. 

Candice Robertson’s partner will stand trial in the Cape Town Regional court for murdering Candice in a guesthouse in Green Point. He tried to make her death appear like a suicide on 30 April 2022. Meanwhile, the two men accused of beating and raping 19 women in a church in Khayelitsha on 26 April 2023 will stand trial in the Khayelitsha Regional Court.
