Action Society pleased with breakthrough in the murder case of Dylan Bothma

A major breakthrough has been made in the murder case of Dylan Bothma partly due to the pressure that Action Society has put on the case. Dylan’s case has been moved to the Springs police station with a new investigating officer as per the family’s request.

Eighteen-year-old Dylan was murdered at a party in Heidelberg in June 2023. He was severely beaten before being pushed into traffic where he was struck by a car. He died as a result of his severe injuries in hospital the morning after the attack. The cruel nature of his murder sent shockwaves through the community and the lack of progress in the investigation has caused his family and friends much frustration and has only added to their heartbreak.

“We can only imagine the pain, suffering and frustration his family must be experiencing. Action Society will continue to put pressure on this case until Dylan’s family receive answers to the questions that have been torturing them since that awful night that upended their entire lives,” said Action Society spokesperson, Juanita du Preez.
